👋 Hi! Tell us about yourself and your training

My name is Jay Campbell and I’m 48 years old, married with 5 children (3 Bonus and 2 Biological) and living in Southern California.

I am a 3x international best selling author in the fields of Health Optimization. I am considered by many to be one of the top biohacking experts and influencers in the world.

My books The TOT Bible, and The TRT MANual are the #1 selling and highest rated 5 Star Books of all time on using Therapeutic Testosterone.

I am also the founder of TOTRevolution.com and the TOTRevolution Podcast.

My wife Monica Diaz Campbell (also a Best Selling Author and figure and bikini fitness champion) and I also founded one of the top online destinations for scientifically backed Fitness Over 40 information: FabFitOver40.com.

I have been blessed to have learned and trained by Masters such as Jim Brown, Charles Poliquin, Markus Reinhardt, Scott Stevenson, Charles Staley and many others.

At my age, training to stay injury free is my primary focus. I competed in Men’s Physique shows at the age of 40-43 from 2010 to 2014. I was first overall in multiple shows I competed in.

⏱ Describe a typical day of training

I train either 3 or 4x per week depending on my travel schedule and work life balance.

When I’m attempting to be low single digit body fat, I train 3x per week and fast on the days I don’t train. My fasting principles are based on my two books: BlowtorchDiet.com and GuaranteedShredded.com.

My training is super intense and consists of brief warm ups followed with sets to Positive Muscular Failure (PMF) using both free weights and machines.

Normally my 3 Day Split is a full body program one week moved to a 3 day split the following week and continually rotated week over week to provide variety and hitting muscles at different angles and intensities.

Depending on who is training with me at a given time, my sessions are never more than 60 minutes and this is normally only when multiple people are training with me. My wife and I always train together.

I will be coming out with a Training System for both aging athletes and Younger 20 something Men at some point in 2020. PMF Systems.

It is my opinion, the majority of the training public lacks the understanding necessary to build an award winning physique. This is due to the signal to noise ratio found online today.

So many men and women are taught programs where a defined number of sets and reps are provided and the overall focus of maximum fiber recruitment is lost.

The trainees are confused over how to achieve maximum hypertrophy in the most efficient and quickest way possible relative to their genetic predisposition.

Few people know the requirements for developing muscular fibers to their maximum capacity. I discuss this in great detail in Chapter 6 of my newest book Living a Fully Optimized Life.

The removal of the profound forces of ego and momentum from one’s training will dramatically improve the look and quality of the human physique.

👊 How do you keep going and push harder?

Motivation like immunity is inborn.

Once one understands that iron begets iron, the idea that training isn’t necessary, to be avoided due to pain/discomfort or feared is easily squashed.

Both my wife and I have a saying and a mantra we live by: Constant and Never Ending Improvement.

One must do the work or as Yeshua/Jesus said “Tend the Garden”.

There is no way that can happen if the internal knowing that with practice/work comes perfection is forgotten.

I’m blessed and grateful to be able to wake up every day with the thought process and willpower to forge a better body, mind and heart.

🏆 How are you doing today and what does the future look like?

There is no reason at 50, I can’t look my best ever.

My Training is constantly evolving as I age.

My primary goal is to look and feel better as the decades continue to increase.

There is no reason at 50, I can’t look my best ever.

Why?

Because I understand that I create my reality through intentional focus and massive action.

Knowing I can and will look my best ever into my 50’s and beyond drives me every day.

It is important to avoid injury as the body definitely has a delayed recovery ability as we age due to a host of factors.

I’m blessed to work with some of the best Age Management Physicians in the world and also be included amongst the top Human Biohackers.

This affords me access to the the best supplements, drugs, peptides and latest grey market ergogens to help with healing, recovery, fat loss, cognitive enhancement and overall anti-aging technologies as they are made available.

My wife and I both fully expect to maintain this same level of fitness and aesthetic appeal into our 70’s and 80’s.

And why not longer as the biomedical Golden Age continues to grace us with advancements.

🤕 How do you recover, rest and handle injuries?

Sleep is a critical component of my lifestyle. It is proven that deep polyphasic and REM sleep is mandatory as we age for recovery and proper metabolism.

Blue light glasses are worn during the day and at night to ensure harmful light is blocked and our circadian rhythms function properly.

6-8 hours of sleep is mandatory normally every night.

Since we only train with weights 3x per week, steady state cardio is performed on fasting days to help with burning free fatty acids and to improve energy metabolism and aid with stubborn body fat loss.

I have a commercial grade Lifecycle on the right side of my bed and a commercial grade treadmill on the left side. I rotate between walking uphill and riding the bike.

It is important as we age to minimize the demand and high impact stress we place on our soft tissue (tendons and ligaments) by focusing on low to moderate impact cardio vascular movements, like biking, pool work, rowing, walking on a treadmill or using a stair master.

Doing this will surely save one from injury and avoid any sort of major orthopedic surgery or procedure in later life (hip, knee or ankle surgery).

Still, injuries are inevitable as one ages.

I find using the peptides TB-500 and BPC-157 to heal nagging soft tissue strains, tears, sprains as the most effective therapy possible.

When combined with percussive massage gun therapy (I rotate between Life Pro Pulse and Theragun G3 for usage in my home) as well as ART (Active Release Technique/Cranial Sacral) massage once per month, it’s a nearly unbeatable combination.

Red Light therapy when consistently applied (daily and at times 2x per day for 10-20 mins per session for healing, fat loss, hair regrowth is also excellent.).

I am currently sponsored by Joov and feel strongly their Red Light Tech is superior to the competition (there is a ton of competitors).

🍎 How is your diet and what supplements do you use?

My diet is best explained as remaining Metabolically Flexible at all times.

Right from Chapter 3 of my book Living A Fully Optimized Life, Metabolic flexibility can be defined as allowing your body to utilize the best fuel source available (preferably from solid, whole foods) to meet its energy demand.

Knowing I employ a Fasting approach primarily for Autophagy and Senescence on my non training days, the days I train with maximum intensity require me to fuel my body in the most efficient way possible.

This allows me to eat high quality carbohydrate sources for maximum glycogen repletion. These come from True Nutrition’s Sweet Potato Powder, yams, jasmine rice with low phytic acid content and primarily oat meal in the morning.

Protein comes from organic sourced eggs, wild caught fish and grass fed beef. Every once in a while I use supplemental protein in the form of Casein/WPI (True Nutrition) in combination. Fats come from Omega 3’s (Deep Marine Fish Oil), Coconut Oil, MCT Oil (Viva Labs) and every now and then macadamia nuts.

My supplement usage is wide and varied. It’s best to read my blog about what supplements I use and when.

👍 What has inspired and motivated you?

Helping people achieve better levels of health and literally saving the life of Men who were at rock bottom due to depression and lifelessness from testosterone deficiency.

In the last 3 years alone, I have received more than a 1,000 testimonials from Men and Women thanking me for helping them in some capacity.

Each note or message inspires me to do and be more as a voice of reason and light in a world of misinformation, fraud and deception.

As a 20 year successful user of Therapeutic Testosterone and many other life extending drugs and supplements, I’m supremely trusted by hundreds of thousands of men and women to offer them the highest level intel available on living life at the tip of the spear and fully optimized from all aspects.

✏️ Advice for other people who want to improve themselves?

Do The Work
Tweet This Share This

Even though the internet says otherwise, there are no hacks, insider secrets, ninja tactics or shortcuts for building an awesome, stage worthy physique.

It takes time, rigorous focus and application over time to hone your body.

To improve yourself from a mind body perspective, work on regularly performing inner work like meditation, contemplation, sun gazing, grounding, nature communing etc.

Learn to silence your mind in a world that grows crazier by the day.

Learn to train your muscle fibers to positive muscle failure in each and every work set. This will dramatically level up your training.

The key to avoiding injury and remaining lean and healthy is impulse and appetite control. Removing ego and momentum from your training is also necessary to avoid injury.

🤝 Are you taking on clients right now?

I provide one time high level consulting for Men regarding Therapeutic Testosterone.

I don’t coach from a one on one level but Daniel Kelly (my protégé in Europe) and I will be creating an online scalable Coaching Program in Q2 of 2020.

📝 Where can we learn more about you?

My Primary Website: TOTRevolution.com.

In Q2 of 2020, I’m moving to JayCCampbell.com to focus on a much bigger scope of vision.

All five of my books are found online here.
